Questions and Answers
How much does a website cost to setup?
This is a bit like the 'how long is a piece of string question', but a simple
website can be set up for about £500. Websites with content management or
e-commerce would normally be from about £1,000. If you have a particular budget
available then we'll see what we can supply within your budget.
What are the ongoing costs?
Once your website is setup you will be charged a hosting fee dependent on
the size and complexity of the website and the number of visitors coming to your
website. This charge is normally between £20 and £250 per month.
What about domain name registration fees?
This is dependent on the type of domain purchased but is typically £10 to
£30 per year.
What other charges are there?
There are no further ongoing charges unless you need us to make changes to
your website. Minor changes are made at an hourly rate, charged by the quarter
of an hour. We can provide a quotation for more significant changes to your
website.
Do I have to have a Merchant Account with a bank to accept secure credit card
payments on my website?
No; a simple way to start is to use a service such as PayPal. We can easily
integrate PayPal payment services into your website.
Can I change the website content myself without involving e-link?
Yes, if the website has been designed from the start with this in mind.
